Jason Derulo Declares He Will Never Be Alone With a Woman Again Following Controversial Lawsuit
The musician discusses how his career and personal decisions have been influenced by a protracted sexual harassment case.
Jason Derulo has boldly said that he will no longer work alone in a room with any female coworkers.
In a recent episode of In Depth with Graham Bensinger, the singer talked about this guideline.
Singer Emaza Dilan has been suing the singer for sexual harassment. The case was refiled in New York soon after the interview aired, despite being rejected twice—once in California and once in Nevada.
Derulo clarified that the continuous accusations continue to affect his work and public image even though the matter has not progressed in court.
As he thought back on the event, Derulo gave some direct counsel.
He advised the interviewer to avoid working with women. He stressed, “I will never be alone in a room with a woman that I work with… ever, ever again,” after being questioned about the harshness of the comment. Every joke has some truth to it. However, it’s a sad reality.
Derulo also expressed his displeasure with the way the lawsuit was reported by the media, particularly with regard to lurid allegations like the one that he “sacrificed a goat in a sexual ritual.”
He completely rejected the tale, focusing on the losses he suffered in his career as a result of the unfounded accusations. He stated, “That case was dismissed twice.” “And because of a story that wasn’t even remotely credible, I lost a lot of brand deals and relationships.”
The singer continued by considering the difficulty of openly addressing charges.
“Combating stories that have been told about me seems disgusting,” Derulo remarked. “There doesn’t seem to be any winning.” “Why didn’t they post the dismissal at least?” he said, expressing dismay that the case dismissals were not widely reported. That would be fair, wouldn’t it? Oh my god. Not one of those? It’s insane.
At the conclusion of the interview, Derulo made it clear that his stance was clear. Even though the lawsuit was twice dismissed, it forced him to set stringent boundaries for his career.
He stated unequivocally that he will never again put himself in a room by himself with a female coworker, claiming that this is the only way he believes he can advance without running the danger of further harm to his career.
