Police say 11 people, including a little kid, were killed in a shooting at a bar in South Africa
A manhunt for three unidentified suspects was initiated after gunshots were fired at an illegal bar in the South African city of Pretoria on Saturday, killing at least 11 people, including a three-year-old boy, according to police.
They added in a statement that 14 more persons were hurt in the Saulsville township incident.
Regarding the illegal establishment, referred to as a “shebeen” in the area, police did not specify if the shooting took place inside or outside.
“Three minors are among those deceased, which include 3- and 12-year-old boys (and a) 16-year-old female,” the South African Police Service stated.
With an average of over 60 murders each day, South Africa has one of the highest murder rates worldwide.
