Kwasi Appiah’s contract is extended by Sudan following AFCON qualification
Sudan has extended head coach Kwasi Appiah’s contract to 2028 in an effort to safeguard the future of its national football squad. Appiah’s contribution to leading the squad to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, a major turning point for Sudanese football, is acknowledged in the decision.
Appiah, who has led other teams in the past, has received recognition for teaching the team discipline and tactical structure. The Sudan Football Association’s faith in his long-term plan and vision for the national squad is shown in the extension.
Appiah’s attention will now shift to getting Sudan ready for the 2025 AFCON, with the goal of moving past the group stages and making a major impression on the largest platform in African football.
