50 Cent Reacts to Vivica A. Fox Advising Other Women Against Dating Him: ‘Damn It’s Been 22 Years’

50 Cent was not pleased with Vivica A. Fox’s suggestion to avoid dating rappers.

On Monday, Nov. 10, the rapper shared his thoughts on Instagram in response to recent remarks made by his ex, who advised others to steer clear of dating not just Fif, but rappers as a whole.

The Queens native shared what appears to be an AI-generated image of himself dressed in an outfit reminiscent of the Matrix, with his palms extended to showcase a blue pill and a red pill, respectively.

“Regardless, I’m going to have that a** in the matrix; you know I adore you, girl,” 50 wrote in his caption. “But it’s been 22 years, Vivica.”

This remark follows the actress’s cautionary advice about dating rappers at the Chicago Ultimate Women’s Expo over the weekend.

The conversation began when a member of the audience inquired about pursuing dreams, prompting Fox to reply, “Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers.”

“Indeed!” she continued. “I want you to understand that it took me years to find humor in it.” I learned to laugh instead of crying, and I succeeded.

Those who follow the former couple are aware that this isn’t the first occasion they’ve captured attention together since their separation.

In 2018, Fox revealed that she was open to the idea of reigniting her romance with 50 Cent. In 2021, the rapper reacted to the actress referring to him as the “love of her life.”

“I’m never bothered when she says that,” he shared with Charleston-based radio host Kris Kaylin. “During our interaction, we were unaware of the surrounding circumstances.”

Fox humorously commented on the possibility of reuniting in 2023 during an appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s show, stating: “Well, [Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez] did it again.” Why not?

Fox and 50 Cent were in a relationship for a brief period of three months following the 2003 BET Awards, making an appearance together on the red carpet at the MTV VMAs that same year. Even after their separation, she made an appearance in his 2009 music video for “Do You Think About Me,” demonstrating that their lives remained connected post-breakup.
