Wizkid’s 14-year-old son Champz creates history by debuting at number one on Apple Music Nigeria
Boluwatife “Champz” Balogun, Wizkid’s teenage son, sets records with his first EP Champion’s Arrival, which is the number one song on Apple Music Nigeria.
The 14-year-old son of Afrobeats icon Wizkid, Boluwatife “Champz” Balogun, has made a big splash in the music industry with his debut EP, “Champion’s Arrival,” which debuted at the top of Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums chart.
Champz became the youngest musician to ever hit No. 1 on Apple Music’s album chart in Nigeria when the five-track, 11-minute effort, which was released on November 11, 2025, soared to the top of the chart within five hours of its release.
“Champion’s Arrival,” which blends Afrobeats rhythms with UK grime elements and doesn’t include any guest artists, highlights Champz’s confidence and solo skill.
Social media has been dominated by reactions to the release, with videos of Champz’s music becoming viral on X and TikTok. Many admirers have compared his early success in the business to his father’s, praising his musical poise and inventiveness at such a young age.
