Three Atletico players will miss Argentina’s match against Angola due to a vaccination issue
Argentina’s FA announced on Monday that Julian Alvarez, Nahuel Molina, and Giuliano Simeone of Atletico Madrid would not be playing in Friday’s friendly in Angola due to their failure to finish procedures related to the yellow fever vaccine.
In order to avoid contracting yellow fever, which is a virus spread by mosquitoes in various parts of Africa and South America, visitors must be vaccinated.
“The players did not complete in time the health procedures related to the yellow fever vaccine, which is required to enter Angola,” the AFA stated in a statement.
Argentina, the world champions, will play Angola in Luanda. Argentina has already guaranteed their place in the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada next year.
