6ix9ine’s remark regarding Lovato’s recovery during a podcast appearance was met with backlash from fans, who are criticizing him for being harsh and seeking attention.

A person inquired, “What motivates you to desire the failure of another?” Another commenter remarked, “This clown fell off years ago and is still trying to stay relevant,” sharing a clip of him being beaten in a gym.

Others were equally unreserved. “It seems that someone has relapsed, and it’s not Demi,” one user commented. Another remarked, “Demi: Clean, sober, and stunning!” 6ix9ine: who, unappealing, lacking teeth, unpleasant, and unkempt!

TMZ’s X post regarding the incident sparked renewed criticism, as numerous individuals labeled the joke as callous. One fan expressed, “Hearing this truly pained my heart… let’s remember that she was so close 👌🏾 to dying… like, for real… is he being serious?”

Additional comments emerged, expressing, “I can’t decide what’s more troubling, his words or her reaction to them.” It’s not appropriate to make jokes about people relapsing or sending inappropriate content. It is essential for you to improve.

This user encapsulated the situation perfectly, stating, “It’s amusing how the individual who regards a courthouse as a second home believes they have the right to comment on another person’s healing.” humiliating.

The rapper stood by his remarks during the surprising podcast segment.

6ix9ine maintains that his remarks were not intended to be harmful, but rather his take on a provocative joke. The star sparked interest during a recent interview on Andie Elle’s podcast when the conversation shifted to former child stars and their experiences with drug use.

During the conversation, he unexpectedly mentioned Lovato, humorously suggesting that the singer might relapse after years of sobriety. TMZ reported that he initially mistook Lovato for a Nickelodeon star, stating, “Remember iCarly?” She has started using cocaine now. Oh, my mistake, that was Demi Lovato.

When the host corrected him, noting that Lovato is clean, 6ix9ine laughed and responded, “Nah, she is gonna relapse.” I will send her some cocaine.

Following the interview’s circulation online, the artist informed TMZ that it was intended as “dark humor.” He contended that “dark humor is going extinct” and that “people in this new generation are simply overly sensitive.”

Demi Lovato once revealed she was ‘minutes from death’ following her overdose in 2018.

6ix9ine’s recent remarks have brought back distressing memories of what Lovato experienced in 2018. The TV personality’s near-fatal overdose has had a profound effect, which she has candidly discussed in the years that followed.

The BBC reported that the former Disney star was discovered unconscious at her Los Angeles residence in July 2018 following an opioid overdose, which was allegedly mixed with fentanyl.

In her 2021 documentary, Lovato disclosed that she experienced three strokes and a heart attack during the medical crisis, with doctors informing her that she had mere minutes to live. The experience resulted in brain damage, blind spots, and blurry vision, rendering her unable to drive.

“For an extended period, I struggled significantly with reading.” “It was a significant moment when I finally managed to read a book, which happened about two months later, due to my vision being so blurry,” she reflected, remembering the gradual journey of recovery.

Lovato’s Evolution From Young Star To Chart-Topping Resilient Artist

Lovato’s career has been as visible as her personal struggles. Starting her journey on “Barney & Friends” and rising to prominence with her role in “Camp Rock” on the Disney Channel, she swiftly established herself as one of the most recognizable young talents in Hollywood. However, beneath the glimmer of fame, Lovato was grappling with profound personal challenges.

In addition to her struggle with addiction, she has openly discussed issues related to eating disorders and self-harm. In her 2012 film “Stay Strong,” Lovato discussed confronting these challenges on a daily basis, and in a 2017 documentary, she candidly shared her experiences with substance use during her teenage years.

In spite of the challenging times, Lovato forged a remarkable career. She has released six albums, achieved significant hits such as “Sorry Not Sorry,” and reached the top of the UK charts.

Prior to his most recent controversy, 6ix9ine last made headlines in late 2024 when he found himself in legal trouble for violating the terms of his supervised release. On October 29, 2024, the 29-year-old was apprehended and presented to a federal judge in New York.

The Blast reported that his arrest occurred after he breached the conditions of his 2020 plea agreement, which had subjected him to supervision due to charges related to racketeering, weapons, and drug offenses.

Lance Lazzaro, his attorney, stated that 6ix9ine had been made aware of the violations weeks prior but showed up late to his court date, which led to the dispatch of U.S. Marshals before he ultimately surrendered.

Included in the offenses were performing in Las Vegas without the approval of his probation officer, testing positive for methamphetamine, and failing to attend a mandatory drug screening.

Fans are expressing that certain jokes are not worth the effort.
