Trump Pardons Rudy Giuliani for His Part in the 2020 Election Scandal

The White House has just given Rudy Giuliani a lifeline.

His longstanding buddy was fully pardoned by Donald Trump for his involvement in contesting the 2020 election results. Giuliani had a major role in spreading conspiracy rumors and spearheading the now-famous “fake electors” operation, which attempted to prevent Joe Biden from becoming president.

Giuliani and others were granted “full, complete, and unconditional” pardons for any federal violations connected to the election consequences, according to the proclamation, which Pardon Attorney Ed Martin shared on Twitter.

Giuliani still has a lot of legal issues. He is still being investigated in Arizona and Wisconsin, and he is facing state-level criminal accusations in Georgia. Those cases are not covered by the presidential pardon.

The paper states, “This proclamation ends a grave national injustice perpetrated upon the American people.”

Although Giuliani’s name was prominent, more than 1,000 other names were also pardoned. Sidney Powell, Mark Meadows, Boris Epshteyn, Jenna Ellis, and fraudulent elector architects Ken Chesebro and John Eastman are on that list. Trump also granted former MLB great Darryl Strawberry a reprieve from an old tax charge and granted pardon to a retired NYPD detective found guilty of espionage for China.

Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s press secretary, stated, “This is about great Americans being persecuted for contesting an election.”
