Lil Uzi Vert’s former assistant lawsuit was dismissed before to its public release
The claims got a lot of attention online, but last week the case was quietly dropped.
When news spread this weekend about a lawsuit brought by a former assistant, Lil Uzi Vert became a trend.
The report, which was made under the name Jane Doe, said that she was harassed, sexually groped, and had bad working conditions for the rapper from 2022 to 2025.
The lawsuit says that Doe was hired after making Uzi like her while she worked at a Los Angeles Balenciaga shop.
She says that while she was on tour, she was expected to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. She also worked up to 30 hours straight and paid for her own food, Wi-Fi on flights, and other travel costs. She also said that when she asked for money back or extra pay, she was told she was only owed her base salary.
In the lawsuit, Uzi was said to have sent texts like “Come rub me down before you leave,” “Let me see that booty,” and “You are more than my assistant.” “You’re my babe.”
The lawsuit also said that Uzi’s bosses, his business, UziVert LLC, and the management group Roc Nation were all involved in the hostile work environment.
But here’s the catch: Court records seen by The Express Tribune show that the case was thrown out last week after the plaintiff dropped the suit with prejudice. This means that it cannot be filed again. After this dismissal, there is no longer any civil action against Lil Uzi Vert, his company, or Roc Nation.
Online news stories gave a shocking picture of harassment and wrongdoing, but the legal battle is over, and it finished quietly, so not many people even knew about it.
