Max B was released from prison after serving years in prison

Rapper Max B ends a protracted legal struggle and is released under supervision.

The rapper Max B was released from prison on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

After serving years in prison, he is currently reintegrating into society under five years of supervised release, which is essentially probation.

Max B’s legal path has been convoluted and drawn out.

Because of his conviction in relation to a 2006 murder case, he was initially given a sentence of 75 years in jail.

However, a new settlement became possible in 2016 after his conviction was overturned. He then entered a guilty plea to aggravated manslaughter, earning him a 20-year term with time served, which allowed him to leave this week.

The release is a significant turning point for the Harlem rapper, whose life and music career were put on pause due to the protracted legal proceedings.

As he returns to life outside of jail, Max B is anticipated to spend the next five years under supervision and adhere to the conditions of his release.
