Mark Wahlberg’s 15-year-old daughter was involved in a bizarre horse-related accident

Grace, Mark Wahlberg’s youngest daughter, was hurt at an equestrian competition.

After her injuries, the teen, who was well-known for her equestrian activities, declared she was unable to ride or compete. At the time of the accident, she was participating at Thermal’s Desert Horse Park.

Mark Wahlberg and his longterm wife, Rhea Durham, welcomed four children. They have two sons, Michael and Brendan, and two daughters, Ella and Grace. The youngest in the group is the 15-year-old equestrian.

Mark Wahlberg’s Adolescent Daughter Discloses Injury From Horseback Riding

On Sunday, November 3, Grace posted a carousel of pictures to her Instagram profile to announce her injuries. The first showed her in a hospital bed with a black sling around one arm and a glum expression.

In spite of her dejected look, Grace seemed hopeful in the caption of the photo, stating, “No pressure, we will be back.” Along with reflecting on her equestrian adventure, the remaining slides showed her riding and, based on her beaming smiles, having the time of her life.

The last slide was an old photo of Mike Evans, a wide receiver with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who seemed like he was having a good time. Although Grace did not provide any details about her injuries, many commenters suggested that she had sustained a collarbone fracture.

Fans and the ‘Ted’ star express their support for Grace Wahlberg.

Hundreds of family, friends, and fans, including fellow equestrian Karrie Rufer, sent well wishes on Grace’s post. In an effort to lift the teen’s spirits, she wrote that her injury was a common occurrence for all equestrians.

“I once heard Eric Navet say that unless you break a collarbone, you’re not a true rider. I told him he must be very fortunate because I’ve damaged mine twice! “Sending thoughts of healing!”

Similar thoughts were expressed by one Instagram user, who wrote: “Been there and done that and then some.” What a fantastic rider you are! You’ll be alright. You will fall if you ride, I constantly say. The best people have it.

While her father responded to the post with two prayer hands and a sad face emoji, other fans wished Grace a quick recovery.

The teenager attributed the incident to the devil.

Grace posted more images of her heartbreak on TikTok, continuing to express her emotions to her followers. She posted a photo of herself riding a horse in one post, followed by a photo of herself at the hospital with the caption:

“The devil waited until I was improving and on the verge of achieving my objectives because he couldn’t get to me. Then he injured me.

She also posted a video of herself riding her horse through hurdles with ease while competing in an equestrian event. The caption on the photo read, “Quite honestly depressing not being able to ride,” Grace bemoaned. Fans reassured her once more that it was acceptable to unwind and recover from her wound.

The veteran of Hollywood praised his youngest daughter as a miniature version of himself.

Grace’s remarkable work ethic, which she inherited from her well-known father, may be the cause of her anguish over her injuries. In a 2023 interview with PEOPLE, Mark gushed about how he was similar to the teen, stating that she was the kind of person who worked hard to accomplish her goals.

Out of his four children, Mark asserted that Grace was the most like him, adding that her older siblings had been inspired by her early drive and will to succeed.

“She’s doing things that my other kids are kind of now starting to think, ‘Well, we’ve got to start doing something because she’s got it all figured out,'” he said.

In an interview with E! News that year, the happy father reiterated similar remarks, saying that Grace was more disciplined than he had ever been.

Mark praised her for possessing the discipline that he did not learn until he was in his thirties. “She does it on her own because she wants to be an Olympian,” he exclaimed.
