Cam Little of the Jags makes a 68-yard field goal to break the NFL record

Kicker Cam Little of the Jacksonville Jaguars ended the first half of Sunday’s road game against the Las Vegas Raiders with a 68-yard kick, shattering the NFL record for the longest field goal.

Little, 22, broke the record set by former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, who made a game-winning 66-yard field goal against the Detroit Lions on September 26, 2021, with a 70-yard field goal during the preseason.

Little’s previous career-long field goal of 59 yards from the previous season was blown away by the kick.

Little, an Arkansas kicker in his second year who was chosen in the sixth round of the 2024 draft, has seen some setbacks in his sophomore season. He started this season 6-of-6 and was 27-of-29 on field goals as a rookie, but in four of Jacksonville’s final five games, he has missed at least one kick. He missed the first extra point of his professional or collegiate career during that time, and he was 4-of-8 overall.

The Raiders led 6-3 at the half after the Jaguars were shut out in the first half due to the game-winning field goal.
