Stellantis will recall more than 123,000 cars in the US due to the possibility of detachable trim elements
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Saturday that Stellantis (STLAM.MI), opens new tab, is recalling 123,396 vehicles in the U.S. because of detached trim pieces on the driver and passenger windows that could pose a road hazard to other vehicles and raise the risk of a collision.
According to the NHTSA, the quarter trim on the driver’s and passenger’s windows might not have been securely fastened, which might have caused it to come loose.
The auto safety agency stated that a remedy is presently being developed and that the recall applies to specific Chrysler Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles manufactured in 2022–2024.
The NHTSA announced earlier this month that Stellantis was recalling 164,000 cars in the US because of potential trim detachment on the driver’s and passenger’s doors.
