Kevin Anik and Quinta Brunson Agree to a Divorce Settlement

The actress has already expressed her annoyance at the public disclosure of details about her relationship.

According to reports, Quinta Brunson, the creator and actress of Abbott Elementary, and her estranged husband, Kevin Anik, have negotiated a settlement in their impending divorce. TMZ reports that Brunson submitted paperwork indicating she and Anik had a mutually agreed-upon written property division arrangement. A judge must then approve the settlement in order to complete the divorce.

In March, the Philadelphia native first filed for a formal divorce. Court filings state that they “entered into a postnuptial agreement which governs the disposition of their property, and requested that each party cover their own attorney’s fees” after citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce.

Although Brunson and Anik got married in October 2021, the Emmy Award winner maintained a secluded life. Prior to her 2022 acceptance speech, the majority of her followers were unaware of her relationship.

For example, she told Bustle in June, “People will take whatever they can get, even if you don’t give a lot.” “I recall people saying things like, ‘She announced her divorce.'” I made no announcements. People tend to believe that public figures want the world to know what they do, in my opinion. We don’t. I swear to you.

When you move, purchase a home, or experience a significant change in your personal life, “no one wants [everyone] to know — it’s just that that’s public record information,” she added. “I detest everything.”

Regarding her professional future, the 35-year-old also stated in the same interview, “Abbotthas has been so successful, and I want to use that success to get other people’s projects off the ground.”
