Bank of America appoints Iles and Poensgen to spearhead the EMEA transaction
Geoff Iles and Lukas Poensgen have been named co-heads of Bank of America’s (BAC.N) mergers and acquisitions division in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, according to a memo obtained by Reuters on Monday.
The pair will take over for Eamon Brabazon, who was named co-head of global M&A late last year.
The information in the memo was verified by a representative of the American bank.
Iles has been in charge of BofA’s UK M&A division for the last seven years after joining the firm in 2003. His home base will be in London.
Poensgen, who joined the bank in 2010, will be located in Frankfurt. Most recently, he was in charge of BofA’s M&A operations for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
