Milei, the president of Argentina, will meet with Trump and Netanyahu in New York
The South American nation’s presidential press office said on Saturday that Argentine President Javier Milei will meet with his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, on Tuesday during his visit to New York.
Milei will also meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly, which will take place in New York next week. Milei’s foreign policy is in sync with that of the United States and Israel.
This Wednesday, the president of Argentina reiterated that his nation will assist Israel by opening an embassy in Jerusalem the next year. Additionally, after taking office in 2023, Milei has met with Trump and has stated time and time again that he supports him.
At a time when financial markets are experiencing extreme tensions due to the ruling party’s loss in legislative elections in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which has an agreement with the International Monetary Fund, is looking for backing for its economic policies.
Among others, Milei, Economy Minister Luis Caputo, and Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein will meet with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on Monday.
