Putin is willing to talk about achieving peace in Ukraine, according to the Kremlin

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told state television in a footage released on Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is prepared to move toward a peace settlement for Ukraine, but Moscow’s primary priority is to accomplish its objectives.

Although Peskov acknowledged that the world was now used to U.S. President Donald Trump’s occasionally “harsh” speech, he also noted that Trump had made it clear in remarks about Russia that he would keep looking for a peace agreement.

“President Putin has stated time and again that he wants to find a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian conflict as quickly as possible. This is a lengthy procedure that takes work and is not simple,” Peskov told Pavel Zarubin of state television.

“Achieving our objectives is the most important thing to us. “We have clear goals,” Peskov stated.

Trump pledged a fresh round of military assistance to Ukraine, including Patriot missile defense systems, on Monday, signaling a more aggressive posture toward Russia. He also threatened to impose more penalties on Russia unless Moscow agreed to a ceasefire within 50 days.
