Air Peace will begin offering direct flights from Abuja to London via Heathrow and Gatwick on October 26
Air Peace became the first Nigerian airline to offer direct flights from Abuja to London to Heathrow and Gatwick airports on October 26.
According to the Nigerian airline Air Peace, direct flights from Abuja to London Heathrow and London Gatwick would begin operating on October 26, 2025.
By doing this, the airline will become the first in Nigeria to provide direct flights from the capital to both of the main international airports in the United Kingdom.
Boeing 777 aircraft will be used by Air Peace to run the additional flights. The airline has round-trip tickets starting at under ₦1 million to commemorate the opening.
“We are excited to launch these direct services from Abuja to Heathrow and Gatwick, which reflects our dedication to expanding international access for our valued customers,” stated Allen Onyema, chairman of Air Peace.
With only one ticket, travelers can connect from any of Air Peace’s domestic locations—including Enugu, Port Harcourt, Kano, Owerri, and Asaba—to London via Abuja, introducing a new paradigm for connectivity. This removes the need for repeated reservations or baggage checks.
In addition to facilitating travel and business, the airline claims that the route will improve commerce and cultural ties between Nigeria and the UK. Airline tickets can be purchased online and through authorized travel companies around the country.
