Tanzania intends to increase spending by 13% starting in July of this year, according to the draft
Tanzania’s draft budget, which focuses on the country’s debt repayment demands, the expense of an upcoming general election, and U.S. President Donald Trump’s halt in foreign aid, calls for a 13.4% increase in overall spending in the fiscal year beginning in July.
According to a budget document seen by Reuters, the east African nation intends to spend 57.04 trillion shillings ($22 billion) for the 12 months beginning in July, up from 50.29 trillion shillings this year.
