Police detain an American woman after a baby is tossed from a French hotel window

A young American woman was arrested by the Paris prosecutor’s office on Tuesday after her newborn child was tossed out of a hotel window in Paris.

The baby died despite receiving immediate medical attention. According to the office, authorities are looking into the crime as a homicide of a kid who is younger than fifteen.

After giving birth, the woman was admitted to the hospital for treatment, and the office stated that “denial of pregnancy” was a possibility.

The agency stated that the woman in custody was in Paris as a member of a group of young people traveling throughout Europe.
