Captains Ziyech and Salah were not included in the 2025 AFCONQ teams

The Atlas Lions of Morocco will play Gabon on November 15 and then Lesotho three days later. Galatasaray playmaker Hakim Ziyech was left out of the squad because his captain is still recovering from an injury and coach Walid Regragui didn’t think he was ready for international duty.
Egypt, on the other hand, won’t have their leader, Mohamed Salah, because coach Hossam Hassan has decided to rest the Liverpool FC winger. The Pharaohs are scheduled to play Cape Verde away on November 15 and then host Botswana on November 19.
