Both Yamal and Lewandowski, who are injured, will miss international action for Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal, two players for Barcelona, will not be able to play for Poland and Spain, respectively, because they got injured, the La Liga club said on Monday.

Yamal missed Barcelona’s 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in La Liga on Sunday because he hurt his right ankle in the Champions League. The kid could be out for up to three weeks, so Spain will not be able to play against Denmark or Switzerland in the Nations League.

Lewandowski, who scored the most goals in La Liga, hurt his back on Sunday and will be out for just under two weeks. He will also miss Poland’s Nations League games against Portugal and Scotland.

“Tests done in the morning of November 11, 2011, showed that Lamine Yamal has a grade 1 sindesmosis injury in his right ankle.” He will probably not be able to work for two to three weeks.

In the meantime, Robert Lewandowski is having back pain in his lower back and will be out for about ten days, Barcelona said in a statement.

The Spanish Football Association (RFEF) said that Bryan Gil, an attacking player for Girona, will take Yamal’s place.

Also, Real Madrid said on Monday that defender Lucas Vazquez and forward Rodrygo will be out for a few weeks because they hurt their legs on Saturday.

The club already knew that Brazilian back Eder Militao would need surgery and be out for a few months for the second season in a row because he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the recent 4-0 LaLiga win over Osasuna.

Militao, who is 26 years old, was the second Real Madrid player this season to hurt their ACL. The first was full back Dani Carvajal. It’s the 10th injury of this kind that a club player has had in 15 months.

Thibaut Courtois, Aurelien Tchouameni, and David Alaba are just a few of the important players on the club’s long list of injured players. Only goalie Courtois should be able to play in two weeks’ highly anticipated Champions League game at Liverpool.

Militao’s injury was one of three ACL tears in La Liga players over the weekend. Ilias Akhomach of Villarreal and Enric Franquesa of Leganes were the other two.
