UN Migration says 45 people die when two boats carrying migrants sink off the coast of Djibouti
There are still many migrants missing after two ships sank off the coast of Djibouti, East Africa, killing 45. A spokesperson for the UN’s migration office said on Tuesday that many more were missing.
The boats left Yemen with 310 people on board. So far, 32 survivors have been rescued, according to a post on X by the International Organization for Migration. The organization also said that it is helping state emergency services with search and rescue efforts.
