South Africa’s Vodacom reports increase in quarterly revenue
On Wednesday, Vodacom Group (VODJ.J) of South Africa announced a 1.5% increase in its quarterly revenue.
The South African company, majority-owned by Britain’s Vodafone (VOD.L), recently announced group revenue of 36.2 billion rand ($1.97 billion) for the three months ended June 30.
“Despite the challenging economic environment in recent years, our efforts to expand our revenue streams across different products and regions are yielding positive results,” stated Shameel Joosub, the Chief Executive of Vodacom Group.
Vodacom Group serves a vast customer base of over 200 million people throughout Africa.
