Vitol will spend $550 million across Africa on healthy cooking
The commodities trader Vitol [RIC:RIC:VITOLV.UL] and its subsidiary Vivo Energy plan to provide about $550 million towards the construction of the necessary infrastructure in Africa by 2030.
At a symposium on clean cooking in Africa on Tuesday, Vitol said that the investment includes liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) infrastructure from marine terminals to the premium cylinders needed for the safe distribution of LPG. It also includes investment in clean cooking carbon programs.
