Following an FA misconduct accusation, Burnley’s Vincent Kompany received a two-match touchline ban
The Football Association (FA) has accused Burnley manager Vincent Kompany of misconduct, leading to a two-match touchline ban.
The charge was related to what he did during last month’s Premier League match against Chelsea, where he was sent off during the first half of the 2-2 tie.
Due to his objections to referee Darren England’s decision to award the home team a penalty and remove defender Lorenz Assignon at Stamford Bridge, the former captain of Manchester City was sacked.
Kompany will miss Burnley’s Premier League home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday and will serve an immediate one-game ban, according to the FA. Additionally, another match will be banned.
In addition, he was fined £10,000.
