President of the World Parliamentary Union (IPU) met with House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in Switzerland

President of the World Parliamentary Union (IPU) and Speaker of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Tulia Ackson, today March 23, 2024, met and held talks with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Hon. Puan Maharani at the IPU Sub-Offices located in the CICG Hall Geneva in Switzerland.

In the session, the Leaders have discussed the best way to develop cooperation between the Indonesian Parliament and the IPU as well as to continue efforts to promote systems for raising women in parliaments around the world.

Hon. Puan Maharani is an ambassador for shaping gender equality, a position she carries out at the special request of the IPU.
