Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard fired after 5 seasons

Michigan announced Friday that Juwan Howard is out as the Michigan men’s basketball head coach after five seasons and possibly the worst season in program history.

A nationwide search to replace Howard who had two years remaining on a contract extension he signed in November of 2021 that required he receive a $3 million buyout if he were fired before July 1 of this year.
