UK To Offer Failed Asylum Seekers £3,000 To Move To Rwanda
Declined asylum seekers are to be offered up to £3,000 to relocate to Rwanda under a new voluntary proposal.
The plan, first narrated by The Times, is assumed to be an adaptation of an existing voluntary returns plan, where unsuccessful asylum seekers obtain cash to return to their base country.
It will be wide open to anyone whose asylum claim has been denied by the UK.
In specific it is targeted at those who cannot return to their home countries.
Business minister Kevin Hollinrake said payments for those allowing to move to Rwanda would amount to a “good use of public money”.
