Breaking News: Nigerian Kidnappers Demand $620,000 for Release of School Hostages, Local Authorities Say
Gunmen who kidnapped 286 students and staff from a school on March 7 in northern Nigeria have demanded a total of $620,000 for their release. A representative for the families of the hostages, said he received a call on his phone from the kidnappers on Tuesday.
A local councilor said the kidnappers called with an unknown number but authorities were “working on getting the number”.
