Court Orders Airtel Kenya To Pay Big To Willis Raburu
Media personality Willis Raburu has accepted the court’s decision telling Airtel Kenya to compensate him Ksh.6.5 million for the utilization of his trademark ‘Bazu’ in their campaign.
In an Instagram post conveying his appreciation to the justice system, Raburu point out the significance of the verdict in setting a standard for the safety of intellectual property and copyright rights.
“I express my gratitude for the recent judgment delivered by Hon. Rawlings Museiga in the magistrate’s court, which holds Airtel Kenya accountable for infringing on my registered trademark ‘BAZU’.
“This ruling sets a crucial precedent for upholding intellectual property and copyright rights in the future,” he wrote down.
