In pictures: Ruto officiates Talanta stadium groundbreaking ceremony

President Williman Ruto on Friday morning officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Talanta Sports City at Jamhuri Grounds in Nairobi County.

The site has been earmarked as one of the stadiums to host matches during the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Youth and Arts Ababu Namwamba handed over the management of the construction of the new stadium to the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in September last year.
