RDC: Government troops control the situation in the town of Masisi
A calm situation has been witnessed yesterday, Thursday February 15, 2024, in almost all the fighting strongholds in the Masisi-Kivu North region. M23/RDF rebels since last week.
The occupation of the town of Shasha by the M23/RDF group has caused the suspension of transport activities between Sake and Minova, the only road left to supply food and other goods to Goma.
According to the chairman of the civil society in Masisi, Voltaire Batundi, the situation is still unpredictable, after the fighting was reported on Wednesday, in the mountains overlooking the town of Shasha. Goma, especially in Bulengo, located in the district of Lac Vert, west of the city.
