N.O.R.E. confronts DJ Vlad on Hot 97, stating, “Remove all Black and Latino individuals from your website”

Watch: N.O.R.E. confronts DJ Vlad on Hot 97, stating, “Remove all Black and Latino individuals from your website”

The host of Drink Champs reignited his feud with DJ Vlad during an intense call on Hot 97, pressing him to address questions regarding the N-word and contending that Vlad’s platform relies significantly on Black and Latino culture.

N.O.R.E. continues to engage with DJ Vlad, and this time he brought their escalating conflict directly to Hot 97.

On a call to “Mornings With Mero” on September 3, N.O.R.E. publicly challenged Vlad, proposing to cover the cost of a lie detector test to determine if the VladTV founder has ever used the N-word. In the Hot 97 interview, N.O.R.E. challenged Vlad to consider temporarily removing Black and Latino personalities from his website if he declines to take the test.

“If you’re unable to respond to those three questions on camera, I’ll cover the cost of the lie detector test,” N.O.R.E. stated during the call. “Visit Miami.” We will proceed with this.

The ongoing feud between N.O.R.E. and DJ Vlad has been escalating for weeks, but N.O.R.E.’s recent response redirects the discussion from their canceled interview to a more extensive critique of Vlad’s connection with hip hop culture.

N.O.R.E. mentioned that his initial proposed lie detector question would inquire if Vlad has ever used the N-word in his lifetime. His second inquiry centered on whether Vlad employed the term during an earlier phase of his life, while the third questioned whether he has utilized it in the past decade.

N.O.R.E. emphasized that these were merely accusations and inquiries, not confirmed facts. No evidence presented during the Hot 97 call independently demonstrated that Vlad has used the slur.

Nonetheless, N.O.R.E. contended that Vlad ought to confront the matter head-on if he feels his connection to Black culture is being misrepresented.

“Remove all Black and Latino individuals from your website for a week and let’s observe the impact on your website in just one day,” N.O.R.E. stated.

That line emerged as one of the most impactful moments of the call, as it directly addressed N.O.R.E.’s core argument. He thinks Vlad gains financially from Black artists, Black entertainers, and Black controversy while working from outside the culture he discusses.

N.O.R.E. consistently referred to Vlad as a “culture vulture” throughout the interview, asserting that the media figure often engages in public conflicts with Black entertainers while steering clear of similar confrontations with white artists.

He pointedly mentioned Bubba Sparxxx, Yelawolf, and Russ while questioning why, in his opinion, Vlad’s most prominent conflicts often feature Black public figures. Those comments reflect N.O.R.E.’s perspective and interpretation of Vlad’s public history, rather than a separately verified trend.

The recent explosion of conflict comes on the heels of the interview disagreement that reignited their tensions in the public eye in August.

As previously reported by Baller Alert, Vlad expressed criticism toward N.O.R.E. during a discussion with Akademiks, alleging that the “Drink Champs” host had initially agreed to make an appearance on VladTV but subsequently reneged on that commitment.

“Nore is all about himself; his words hold no value, he’s deceitful,” Vlad remarked at that moment.

N.O.R.E. acknowledged that he had a change of heart. He contended that consenting to an interview did not imply that he relinquished his right to decline later.

“I did to you what you did to our culture, I bent you over, and I violated you,” N.O.R.E. stated in his earlier response. “I am an adult.” I reserve the right to change my mind.
