Nicki Minaj has been appointed as a judge for the Trump administration’s Patriot Pitch Competition, which will grant $1 million to five small-business finalists.

The competition’s live finale is set for September 18 in Washington, D.C. Minaj will be part of the judging panel alongside Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia and private equity fund manager Grant Cardone, with actor Dean Cain serving as the host.

Hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the competition commenced in May as a component of the agency’s Freedom 250 festivities.

The five finalists are Compotech, Inc., Plas-Tech Tooling, Red River, VetPowered LLC, and Winton Machine.

The $1 million prize pool will be allocated among the finalists, with $400,000 awarded to the winner, $250,000 to the runner-up, and $150,000 to the third-place finisher.

The finalists in fourth and fifth places will be awarded $125,000 and $75,000, respectively. Clover, a company specializing in point-of-sale technology, is supplying the prize money.

Minaj conveyed her excitement regarding her participation in the competition after the announcement.
