Taarabt on Morocco coach: “I don’t like his style of play.

The outstanding player for Morocco, Adel Taarabt, has been candid about his friendship with head coach Walid Regragui of the Atlas Lions.

Taarabt, a current player for Al-Nassr, has never represented the massive North African team since Regragui replaced Vahid Halilhodzic as Morocco’s coach in August 2022.

In a July 2022 international friendly, the 35-year-old offensive midfielder made his final appearance for the Atlas Lions against the USA.

Regragui, a former Morocco international who led the Atlas Lions to the 2022 FIFA World Cup semifinals, and Taarabt have admitted that they “never got along.”

According to Afri-Foot, Taarabt stated on Hespress, “I never got along with Walid Regragui.”

“I didn’t enjoy playing with him, even as teammates. His playing style is not one I enjoy.

2009 saw the brief collaboration of the two as teammates in Morocco; it was also the year when Regragui’s international career ended.

For the Atlas Lions, Taarabt has 30 caps and four goals.
