“Charm of the South” When Kathryn Dennis was being arrested for a three-car collision, she lost it

Recently, Kathryn Dennis suffered a breakdown in Goose Creek, South Carolina, following her arrest for driving under the influence.

It’s rumored that footage of the tumultuous and ultimately emotional episode featuring the reality TV celebrity was taken. This most recent information was provided after law officers arrived on the scene in a hurry on Monday after Dennis was involved in a three-car crash.

Recent dashcam footage has emerged, demonstrating how uncharitable Dennis’s Monday encounter with police was.

The “Southern Charm” alumna began the video with a police officer escorting her toward a patrol car while she carried her dog and a chic purse.

She then went through multiple field sobriety tests with the officer guiding her. As soon as it was clear that Dennis was failing, the officer handcuffed her and put her in the backseat of the cruiser.

The resident of South Carolina soon started crying as she begged the officer and showed how desperate she was to keep her pet with her.

Dennis continued her emotional tirade, alternating between threatening the officer and expressing her concern for her two children. She also mentioned that her ex’s criminal history had previously put her in legal trouble, according to TMZ.

Regretfully, her dramatic response did not prevent the police from providing a detailed account of the event in a court filing.

According to The Blast, the officer who turned in the paperwork emphasized Dennis’ state at the site of the collision, pointing out indicators of impairment such “glossy eyes.”

The policeman also mentioned the alcoholic odor coming from her. Dennis was also charged with driving with an open container in addition to her DUI.

Even though this is the 32-year-old’s first DUI arrest, her legal past is not entirely clean.

In November 2023, she was previously identified as a suspect in a hit-and-run crime involving an elementary school. She wasn’t, however, taken into custody in relation to the event.

Furthermore, Dennis has struggled with substance misuse in the past; as a result, in 2016, she lost custody of her two children. She sought therapy in a rehab after testing positive for marijuana, which resulted in her losing custody.

Her custody battle with Thomas Ravenel, her ex-partner and the father of her children, came to an end in 2023 when the latter was granted sole custody of their children. When he revealed the case’s verdict, the 61-year-old said:

“I was given exclusive custody. Every parenting decision is mine to make. Kathryn is entitled to visitation under supervision every other weekend from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a supervisor who has been appointed by the court.”

Ravenel revealed more details about the custody agreement when he revealed that his ex-partner was not allowed to have overnight visiting privileges with their kids, St. Julien “Saint” Rembert Ravenel and Kensington “Kensie” Calhoun Ravenel.

Furthermore, he said that he had taken on the duty of driving the children to “the halfway point between Aiken and Charleston,” from where Kathryn would get them.

Prior to her losing custody, an insider disclosed the purported rationales for Dennis’ contract not being extended for the upcoming ninth season of “Southern Charm.”

“She doesn’t show up on time or show up at all during filming a lot,” the source said. Dennis “treats people like they are beneath her,” they continued to accuse. She finds it intolerable when someone outperforms her or receives greater attention.”

Bravo apparently tried to handle her by hiring a new producer, but it didn’t work out. The anonymous source also stated, “I know Bravo didn’t offer her a contract, but when you treat people poorly like she has, they finally get sick of it.”

Fans had become used to Dennis inciting strife among her “Southern Charm” castmates before her departure in season 8. In the end, her behaviors left fans wondering if each season would see her invited back.

According to The Blast, she once confronted Whitney Sudler-Smith and accused him of taking her baby daddy to a strip club while she was expecting their son Saint. This was a noteworthy incident.

Considering that Sudler-Smith is the executive producer of the popular reality show, this was an especially daring action.

When Dennis responded to a black radio DJ with a monkey emoji, viewers were similarly shocked. She returned for seasons 7 and 8, even though her actions caused anger.

Although the precise reason for her termination from the Bravo program is yet unknown, a lot of people are happy that Dennis is no longer on their TV screens.
