William Ruto departs for a three-day state visit to Zimbabwe and Tanzania

In order to celebrate Tanzania’s and Zanzibar’s 60th anniversaries, President William Ruto will travel there.

The head of state is scheduled to depart on Thursday evening, April 25, according to a statement made by Hussein Mohamed, a spokeswoman for the statehouse.

“The president’s participation in this national celebration will underscore Kenya’s cherished relationship, good neighborliness, and steadfast partnership and solidarity with the United Republic of Tanzania and its people,” the statement began.

Ruto will next depart for Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where he is scheduled to attend the 64th International Trade Fair as the honored guest. He will stress the importance of these occasions as catalysts for industrial development, global connectivity, economic growth, and the creation of jobs.

The journey also aims to deepen the two countries’ sociocultural, political, and economic relations.

“Seven bilateral instruments- health, defense, education, investment, transport, and capacity building in public service will be signed at the event,” said the statement.

Additionally, in keeping with the principles of the Tripartite Alliance Free Trade Area (TAFTA) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA), the first-in-command will talk about the necessity of improved air connection with his counterpart Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“The president will also share Kenya’s perspective on climate action and the urgent need for UN Security Council reforms that respond to the current global realities.”
