Mother of South African girl missing for several weeks is charged with selling her

ZoneYetu – The mother of a South African girl who was reported missing for several weeks has been charged with selling her.

Kelly Smith has been charged with kidnapping and human trafficking crimes along with three others, two men and a woman, the Associated Press reported. Western Cape Provincial Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagan Allen stated he expected they were one step nearer to locating Joslin or what truly happened to her.

“We sincerely trust that the investigation will now unfold in terms of what has happened, but we are still keeping hope alive knowing that we wanting to ultimately find Joslin unharmed,” he pointed out.

The four defendants did not enter a plea in reply to the charges and are schedule to show up in court again next week.
