Minister of Minerals Hon. Anthony Mavunde has thanked the TAQA-DALBIT

The government through the Ministry of Minerals has started talks with the company TAQWA-DALBIT for the implementation of a project to provide electricity in mines and areas with small miners to stimulate mining activities in Tanzania.

The conversation took place yesterday in Dodoma city and was led by the Minister of Minerals Hon. Anthony Mavunde and Deputy Minister of Minerals H. Dr. Steven Kiruswa together with the management of the TAQA-DALBIT company led by the Chief Manager Ndg. Amr Aboushad and the director of business development brother Raphael Banzi

Submitting prior details, Dr. Amr Aboushad said that their company is ready to come up with a plan for gas power production by installing a system in mines and mining areas which will help reduce production costs by more than half the cost applied now through oil consumption The second phase of diesel and petrol will involve power production through solar power system where the company will close a large system at their cost and connect small miners for the monthly payments of the energy consumption.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Minerals Hon. Anthony Mavunde has thanked the TAQA-DALBIT Company for its willingness to solve the challenges of access to electricity in mines and to encourage the leadership of the Ministry to call for a quick meeting with all stakeholders including small and big diggers to get the opportunity to discuss the best ways of the implementation of this plan.

Implementation of this plan will help a lot to stimulate mining activities in Tanzania and thus increase mineral production.
