A Senegalese youngster is expected to relocate to Europe

Amara Diouf, a Senegalese star, is getting closer to joining Turkish team Fenerbahçe.

According to Yahoo Sports and Turkish writer Yağız Sabuncuoğluand, the 16-year-old is expected to join the Turkish powerhouses from Génération Foot in his own country.

Diouf excelled at the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), leading Senegal to their first-ever championship and taking home the top scorer award. In 2024, he then made his debut for the men’s national team of Senegal.

Barcelona, Chelsea, and Real Madrid were reportedly interested in signing the winger before Fenerbahçe entered the fray.

At the Şükrü Saracoğlu in Istanbul, Fenerbahçe defeated Konyaspor 2-1 on Saturday to wrap up their season. They finished the season 11 points behind winners Galatasaray in second place on the Süper Lig log.
