Kolo Muani, a PSG attacker, is loaned to Juventus

French forward Randal Kolo Muani was loaned to Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday in an effort to play more outside of the French metropolis.

The arrangement was formalized by the two teams issuing statements. Kolo Muani will stay in Turin till the 30th of June.

The move had been postponed because PSG had at one point used up every player they could loan to other teams simultaneously.

The news that Kolo Muani’s loan deal was finalized, however, follows allegations in France on Wednesday that PSG’s Spanish defender Juan Bernat had terminated his contract with the team and completed a permanent loan transfer to Villarreal.

Although Kolo Muani, 26, has only made two starts for PSG in the first half of the season, he has been a regular for the French national team.

Since the start of the French champions’ season, he has only played 78 minutes and had just two goals to his name.

Kolo Muani joined Paris from Eintracht Frankfurt at the start of the previous season in an estimated 90 million euro ($93.7 million) trade, and he scored nine goals in 40 appearances during his debut season.

His move to Turin will bolster Juventus’ wounded offensive line.

Thiago Motta’s squad lacked bite in Tuesday’s Champions League 0-0 draw with Club Brugge after having to play without a star striker in earlier games.

Juventus, now ranked fifth in Serie A, will go to the leaders, Napoli, on Saturday.

Kolo Muani will be welcomed to the squad by fellow Frenchman Pierre Kalulu and Khephren Thuram, the son of World Cup and European Championship champion Lilian, who won two league titles at Juventus.
