Three Red Cross workers are killed in eastern Ukraine by Russian bombardment

Three Ukrainian employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) were murdered and two others were injured by Russian shelling on Thursday in a village in the front-line Donetsk region, according to Ukrainian officials.

Prosecutors said that two workers were admitted to the hospital, one of whom was critically ill.

Russia frequently launches airstrikes and shells into the Donetsk region, which is partially occupied by Russian forces.

Thousands of people have died as a result of Moscow’s attacks on Ukraine, but it denies that it was targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure.
