Iran says the US is stuck because Tehran says it will decide when the conflict is over
Iran says that the US is still stuck in the war and that only Tehran will decide when it ends.
After five months of war, Iran has said that the US is “stuck and struggling.” It says that Tehran will decide when the conflict ends and that Washington will “inevitably pay the price.”
These comments show that Tehran thinks the US failed to reach its goals during the war. Officials in Iran say their country beat the US and think Washington doesn’t have many options left.
Esmaeil Baghaei, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, said that the situation happened because of what he called the “decisive response” of the Iranian armed forces to the attack by the US and Israel. He said that Iran would not change its positions and that protecting its national rights and security would stay its top priority in any future talks.
The US has kept up the pressure on Iran, which is why, after almost two weeks of heavy bombing, Tehran stopped its own attacks across the Middle East.
Reports in the media that the US military is running low on ammo have been shot down by US President Donald Trump. He said that the US still has a lot of supplies, more than what is needed.
Baghaei also said what Iran thought about the attack by Ukraine on a cargo ship in the Caspian Sea. He said again that Iran would respond to the attack.
Now everyone is looking at Iran to see what they might do. It’s possible to work together with Russia more, or we could respond directly with armed action. Officials in Iran have said they don’t want the Caspian Sea to become another battlefield.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli troops and settlers have continued to raid, arrest, and destroy homes all over the area. Operations have been reported in Nablus, Ramallah, Hebron, and East Jerusalem.
