Davido will perform at a countdown concert in Los Angeles before the 2026 World Cup

Davido and Major Lazer will be the main acts at FIFA’s Los Angeles Countdown Concert, which will mark one year until the 2026 World Cup.

Davido, a Nigerian music star, will be one of the singers at FIFA’s Countdown Concert in Los Angeles. The concert is meant to kick off the celebrations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The show will happen at Crypto.com Arena on June 10 as part of a live music event that brings together people from the US, Canada, and Mexico, which are hosting the game. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. local time, and the live show will begin an hour later. The event is being put together with help from the Grammys, and it will be shown all over the world on FIFA’s digital channels, such as TikTok.

FIFA says that more performers will be named before the event, but Davido and Major Lazer are the first artists who have been confirmed for the Los Angeles show.

FIFA said this about the team in a social media post:

“The lineup for the Los Angeles Countdown Concert is here. The FIFA Countdown Concert, which is put on by the Grammys and FIFA, will be held at Crypto.com Arena on June 10. Diplo’s Major Lazer, Davido, and other special guests who will be named soon will be performing. Live on June 10 on TikTok 9. Watch whenever you want on VuMe Live after the show.

There are three Countdown Concerts taking place in the countries that are hosting the World Cup. One of them is in Los Angeles. A live broadcast will connect the games in Toronto and Mexico City to bring football fans from all over North America together before the competition.

Manolo Zubiria, who is in charge of the United States’ bid for the FIFA World Cup 2026, said that the music series shows how the World Cup brings people together and brings cultures together.

“The Countdown Concert series honors the love, unity, and cultural ties that make the FIFA World Cup 2026 unique in three countries and around the world,” he said.

He also said that Los Angeles would hold an event with music, football, and fans while the tournament was still being planned.

Football association FIFA said that the full show and behind-the-scenes videos would be available on VuMe Live after the event.

The United States, Canada, and Mexico will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This is the first time that three countries have worked together to host a game.
