Falcons ink WR Drake London to a four-year, $141M deal

ESPN reported Tuesday that London’s agent said the Atlanta Falcons and wide receiver Drake London agreed to a new deal worth $141 million over four years, with $100 million guaranteed.

NFL.com says that London’s new deal is worth an average of $35.25 million per year. This is the highest average per year in team history and the third-highest among wide receivers, after Seattle’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($42.15 million) and Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase ($40.25 million). Early this offseason, Smith-Njigba signed a new deal with the Super Bowl-winning Seahawks.

As the eighth pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Falcons chose London. He immediately established himself as a starter. In his first three seasons with the Falcons, he led the team in catching yards. In 2025, tight end Kyle Pitts beat him by just nine yards, even though London played five fewer games.

London, who is 24 years old, has caught 309 passes for 3,961 yards and 22 scores for Atlanta in 62 games (60 starts). In 2024, he played in all 17 games and had his best season. He had 100 catches, 1,271 yards, and nine touchdowns during that season.

It’s worth $16.82 million, and he can play in the 2026 season as a rookie. The extra time then gets him through the 2030 campaign.

This year, Atlanta starts a new era with Kevin Stefanski as head coach and Matt Ryan, a legend in the club and a former quarterback, in a new role as president of football. A new quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, was brought in to fight with Michael Penix Jr. for the job.
