Cardi B tells her fans to leave her alone: “You all expect me to be a machine every single fucking day…” A year of nonstop work
The Bronx rapper slammed X Spaces after her fans whined for a month while she was getting over one of the worst years of her career.
Cardi B is mad, and she went on X Spaces to make sure everyone got the message.
After being away from her kids, home, and herself for most of 2026 on a tour while having major health problems, she came back to fans who were upset that she wasn’t doing enough. She stressed that that didn’t make sense to her at all.
“I haven’t been in my house much since January, or really since the beginning of 2026.” I hardly had time to get into bed.
It was completely broken. She spent most of January and half of February in Los Angeles, a place she has said she doesn’t like. “LA isn’t the same as it used to be. ” California is not a place I like being. It’s way too far away. I don’t know anyone. “That’s not how I like my food,”
The tour then came. There were three months of two-hour shows every night, meet-and-greets with forty people, parties, and then back on a bus. She was sick the whole time. “The smell of gas was making me sick due to my asthma, and I was feeling unwell. ” I felt like I was about to get sick, and I had to deal with this situation every day for three months.
After a month at home, her fans are already pressuring her to create new songs and maintain a public presence. She also talked about that. “I’ve been making new music.” When I’m at home, I’ve been writing new songs every day. I can hear beats. I’m thinking about many different ideas because I want to make sure that my next song or piece of music isn’t crap.
People acting like they deserve all of her time was what really got her going, not the music. Being with her kids, going to the spa, and taking pole classes to stay strong for upcoming shows are all things she is doing to relax. That hasn’t been posted, and that’s fine with her.
“And you all expect me to be a machine every single day? That’s not fair, and I don’t like it.”
She also said that she isn’t the only artist who breaks projects. No one pursues other artists in the same manner. It’s rare for me to see female artists. Artists don’t even post like that very often anymore. It’s either a chill day, or everyone is preparing for upcoming releases.
Cardi has earned the right to take a deep breath. She was sick for three months on the road, barely able to sleep on a noisy bus, away from her kids, and she still gave birth every night. Fans should at least wait a month.
