Trump says that the US and Iran are close to reaching a peace deal after talking with leaders in the Gulf and the Middle East

Trump says that a deal with Iran is almost complete and that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen after talks with other countries in the area.

After several calls with leaders in the area, US President Donald Trump says that a peace deal between the US, Iran, and a number of Middle Eastern countries is almost complete.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that he had a conversation with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain in the Oval Office about Iran and a possible peace agreement.

In his speech, he said, “An agreement has been mostly negotiated between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the other countries listed.”

President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah of Pakistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain were all in the talks, according to Trump.

He also stated that he had a separate conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel.

“Also, I had a call with Israel’s Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, which also went very well,” Trump said.

He also said, “Final details and aspects of the Deal are being talked about right now, and they will be made public soon.”

As part of the deal, Trump also said the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the most important oil shipping lines in the world, “will be opened.”
