Supah Hot Fire knocks Ray J out at Brand Risk 14, and then Ray J says the fight was set up to be rigged
The R&B singer says “we had a plan” after Supah Hot Fire knocked him out in the second round.
There was a plan when Ray J walked into the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. In the second round of his MMA start at Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 14, Supah Hot Fire knocked him out cold. He then said the quiet part out loud on a live microphone in front of hundreds of thousands of people.
When the fight started, there was three minutes of confusion, and then one punch stopped the talk. Supah Hot Fire, whose real name is DeWayne Stevenson, danced, circled, and refused to throw the whole first round. From his corner, he took a FaceTime call. He had a dancer work the edge of the box. While listening to the comments, Adin Ross tried to figure out what kind of plan this was. At the same time, Ray J acted like the aggressor by running forward and throwing everything he had at a man who didn’t want to fight. A lot of people in the building thought that the first round was one of the worst fights in the short and strange history of influencer combat sports.
In the 26th second of round two, the night changed. Ray J ran back in. For the first time all night, Supah Hot Fire put his feet down and threw down a right hand that hit the flop. Ray J’s body was already in the ropes when it hit the ground. He got up in the end, but the judge could tell he was dizzy from the look on his face. He was put on a stool. There was no more fighting.
Following what happened is what has made people on the internet refuse to let this go. After the fight, Ray J got on the mic and started talking about things that sounded a lot like business. He didn’t give up or return with grace. On video, he told Supah Hot Fire that he and the other person had a plan and that they had just lost a lot of money. “We had a plan, my n*gga. Do you know how much money we lost?” he asked. The implication was clear and instant to everyone who saw it. It looked like Ray J was saying that the fight was set up to be fixed, but Supah Hot Fire still won by knockout and took the bag.
It’s a problem for Adin Ross and the Brand Risk offering whether you see that as a man who is upset and saying things he shouldn’t or as a man who is telling the truth that influencer combat sports are more like professional wrestling than professional fighting. The whole point of these events is to make you believe that the chaos is real. When someone on the show says that there was a script and it tore up in the middle of a fight, the whole idea behind the league is called into question. That video will always be online, and it will be shown with every Brand Risk card that comes out after it.
Things got worse before the moment land. As a way to promote the fight all week, Supah Hot Fire used Ray J’s past with Kim Kardashian. He brought up the 2007 tape at every press conference. When they got into a fight, Ray J yelled, “Free Diddy!”
They were pulled apart more than once by police. When it came time for the fight, the bad blood seemed real, which is one reason why the knockout looked so brutal at the time and so strange afterward. Even if the fight was planned, it was planned with real anger in mind, which is why someone ends up asleep on the ropes when they thought they were going to dive.
It’s even worse because of the health issues. In the beginning of 2026, Ray J told the public that he had been diagnosed with major heart problems and that he thought he only had a few months to live. The Nevada medical exam he had to pass in order to be allowed to fight, but many people who saw the news wondered if he should have been allowed to take real hits in a cage at all. Even though I saw him take a clean overhand right and fall, those questions still stayed with me.
There was Chris Brown in the building. A lot of famous people came out to see what Brand Risk had made. Between fights, 6ix9ine did shows in the ring. In the other co-main, Johnny Manziel beat up Bob Menery. It was exactly the kind of chaos that Adin Ross tells his fans about, and Ray J said the thing that will define the whole show for a long time to come.
It won’t be the knockout that people remember, even though it was clear and ugly. Crazy and angry Ray J will be on the mic telling everyone they had a plan. And no matter what he meant, that moment will always be remembered as a part of 2026 in Black culture and influencer combat sports.
This was Supah Hot Fire’s first MMA win. He got a check and a video that went viral. After leaving, Ray J had a knot in his head and said something that might stick with him longer than the loss.
