Bruno Fernandes is named Premier League Player of the Season

Bruno Fernandes gets Premier League Player of the Season after tying the record for most assists and getting Manchester United back to the Champions League.

Bruno Fernandes, captain of Manchester United, has been named Premier League Player of the Season. He had a great season for the club.

With 20, the 31-year-old tied Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne for the most assists in a single Premier League season. He scored 8 goals and set a new record.

Fernandes won the award for the first time in his career. He was the first Manchester United player to do so since Nemanja Matic in the 2010–11 season.

He is the seventh United player to win the award. The other six winners are Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Dwight Yorke, and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Fernandes already had the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award, and when he helped United get into the UEFA Champions League, he added another big award to his collection.

It was David Raya, Gabriel, Declan Rice, and another Arsenal player, Gabriel, who won the award.
